Shelton Accountancy Services is a family-run business based in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. It was set up around 40 years ago by my father, I took over the running of the business 8 years ago.  

I have over 15 years professional experience within the Accountancy sector. I began my accountancy training in a small practice, where I was needed in every area so I have a thorough, experience based knowledge of all accounting processes. I am a fully qualified ACCA accountant.

I have experience of working with many different businesses, and the different needs, advice and services which they require. Whether you are a sole trader, partnership, consultant, contractor, charity or small company, we can help you. As a busy working parent I can fully appreciate the time pressures faced by small businesses, in terms of dealing with the paperwork, administration and financial returns required. My role is to ease that burden for you by dealing with your tax and accounting affairs and to use my knowledge and experience to help you regain your work-life balance.

I have experience with many different types of accounting records from manual cashbooks to computerised spreadsheets and accounting software and have vast experience integrating these systems into any type of business.

We can prepare and file your quarterly VAT returns online, using the information which you provide.

We will produce financial accounts to meet your needs and obligations. We understand that different businesses need different types of accounts.

We can produce quarterly or monthly management accounts to enable you to review your business’s financial performance on a timely basis. This will allow to monitor your performance and make changes when necessary.

We will produce financial accounts that comply with Companies Act requirements, suitable for submission to Companies House, and to HM Revenue & Customs.

We will prepare and submit your tax returns online, and advise you of tax liabilities and due dates.

We will complete your corporation tax returns using the information from your statutory accounts, and file them online. We will advise you of payment dates and filing deadlines.

We offer payroll services to our clients to assist in operating your payroll in line with legal guidelines. We will ensure that payments to your employees are dealt with correctly and PAYE operated in accordance with the RTI guidelines.
